Anniversary races confirmed for France, Romania and Germany
All races for the 2023 series have been confirmed featuring races in France, Romania and Germany. Races are limited to 40 teams per race. Registration for the whole series until the end of April grants you a starting slot.
ELECTRIC REBIRTH 2023 - CIRCUIT DES PLATANES PERPIGNAN – 8 HOURS ENDURANCE RACE
The first race of the 2023 series will take place in France, on the historical track of Roussillon, in the frame of an emobility weekend at a closed city circuit. The event is supported by the Automobile Club du Roussillon and the City of Perpignan. It will be held during the Pentecost holidays, the beach is nearby so you can extend the weekend relaxing in the sun.
The track length is of 2540m, the race duration is of 8 hours, one or more drivers per team are allowed. The registration fee for this race is of Euro 350 per team, which includes two driver insurances.
The start of the ecoGP season at the Circuit des Platanes is set to take place on May 28th and 29th, 2023. The festival starts on May 27th. You are welcome to join.
With a charging limit of 11 kW or 22 kW (yet to be confirmed), teams will need to carefully manage their resources to stay ahead in the competition. TRANSILVANIA MOTOR RING 2-3 September 2023
The second race will be held in Romania, at the Transilvania Motor Ring, which meanwhile improved its electric infrastructure to allow more cars to charge in parallel. The event will include test drives offered by different car dealers.
The track length is of 3700m, the race duration is of 24 hours, at least three drivers per team (we recommend 4 or more) are needed. The registration fee for this race is of Euro 600 per team, which includes three driver insurances.

CIRCUIT MEPPEN – 24H EV CHALLENGE 30 September – 1 October 2023
The final race of the series will be held in Germany, at Circuit Meppen. The pit lane has been extended to allow more cars to charge in parallel. The event will also include test drives offered by different car dealers. The track length is of 2150m and the race duration is of 24 hours, three drivers per team (we recommend 4 or more) are needed.
This event will be the most fun you ever experienced at an ecoGP. We will introduce how the speed series could look like and will try to beat the actual track record by an electric car. The basic registration fee for this race is of EUR 990 per team, which includes three driver insurances.

ECOGP SOUND LEVEL - LIKE A HUMAN CONVERSATION OR HOW WE DEAL WITH QUIET HOURS IN GERMANY
In 2022 we had a pilot 24 hours race divided into two days (12h per day) because driving in the night was not allowed by the authorities of the region. So, with the help of the Circuit Meppen, we measured the level of noise we made during the race in order to later apply for a 24 hours permit driving through the night.
According to the Circuit’s measurements, a level between 30 and 60 dB was recorded. 30 dB is equal to a soft whisper and 60dB is the sound when two people are talking (find here more info about noise levels).
So, we applied and we’re waiting for the authorities’ permit to allow us to organize the race during the night. We will keep you informed.
