Team tour of the Norwegian Association of Electric Mobility

On Sunday afternoon, three tall men from the Norwegian Electric Car Association left Oslo in a signal yellow Ford Mustang Mach-E GT with a course for southern latitudes.

The destination for the trip is the popular tourist areas around Lake Garda in northern Italy with the city of Milan as a natural turning point. Before that, Germany will travel through a long transport leg on the Autobahn, before passing through Bavaria and Tyrol, via the Brenner Pass to Italy.

Our delegates are journalist Martin Thronsen, advisor Lars Lund Godbolt and photo and video manager Jamieson Pothecary.

You get the result of the trip in the form of a full report and video here on elbil.no, and certainly some additional material of various kinds. What it will be, we do not know until the trip is completed. This is a good, old-fashioned road trip, where the experiences arise and are documented along the way.

Team 2 to Sweden and Denmark

On Wednesday, another team travels east along the E-18 to Stockholm. From there they will go through southern Sweden to Copenhagen, and further through Zealand, via Funen to Jutland.

On this trip, the Electric Car Association’s leader for subjects and advice Erik Lorentzen goes together with senior adviser Hulda Tronstad. They will be joined by photo and video manager Jamieson Pothecary, who will fly up from Milan and join from Stockholm from Thursday.

The departure takes place from Aker Brygge on Wednesday morning and is otherwise broadcast live on TV2’s Good Morning Norway.

This trip must be documented in a similar way as the trip to Italy, so that you who are planning an electric car holiday for the summer can get a good indication of what you need to think about in order to get the most smooth trip abroad with an electric car.

It is also an independent point that the trip will be completed with the help of the Electric Car Association’s new blue charging chip, also known as the Charging Club. This is a completely new offer for our members, which will make it easier to go on a trip by electric car. You can read more about Ladeklubben in this article:

– The goal is to make it easier for you to recharge when you are on the go, says Christina Bu, Secretary General of the Norwegian Electric Car Association.

In Norway, we are working hard to get more fast charging players in our scheme. Currently, Mer, Eviny and Cirkle K are on the outside.

In Europe, however, there is already good coverage. The blue charging chip can be used at over 275,000 charging points via the European charging networks Hubject, Gireve and e-clearing.net.
